Guwahati News Desk: Due to the rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Guwahati, the areas including Chandmari, Rajgarh and Maligaon have been identified as the latest COVID hotpots.

Meanwhile, GMCH asserted that majority of people found to be infected with the virus were found to be residents of these areas.

Regarding Rajgarh, it is an adjoining area to Chandmari itself, and Maligaon is already a crowded and densely populated area.
Furthermore, a total of 844 new cases were detected in the state in Thursday’s report, out of which 396 were alone from Guwahati.
