Guwahati News Desk: Parliament building construction to begin in December this year and is expected to end by October 2022.

Lok Sabha secretariat on Friday stated that necessary steps has been taken to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament session during this period in the existing buildings.

The new building will have the capacity of 888 members for Lok Sabha, while for Rajya Sabha will have 384 seats with grand Constitutional Hall, a lounge for members, a library, multiple committee rooms, dinning areas and adequate space for parking.
