Guwahati News Desk: The ongoing night curfew which was implemented by the government of Assam across the State due to rising numbers of COVID-19 has been extended till May 7.
The announcement was made by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) on Friday.
The timing of the night curfew remains the same from 8 pm to 5 am which will include a total ban of human movements.
It was also notified that the government will take strict action with anyone violating the order, under Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and legal action under Section 188 of IPC.
