Guwahati News Desk: North Korea fired two ballistic missiles into waters of its eastern coast on Wednesday afternoon.
The firing came just two days after North Korea claimed to have tested a newly developed missile.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said that the missiles were launched from central North Korea on Wednesday afternoon.
The Prime Minister of Japan, Yoshihide Suga said that the missiles landed outside of the Japanese Exclusive Economic Zone, in the waters between northwestern Japan and the Korean Peninsula.
Suga said, “The firings threaten the peace and safety of Japan and the region and are absolutely outrageous…The government of Japan is determined to further step up our vigilance and surveillance to be prepared for any contingencies.”
Meanwhile, the South Korean and US intelligence authorities are analyzing more details about the North Korean launches.
