Sangita Dewri: Makhana (Fox Nuts) is loaded with high nutrition which makes it a perfectly healthy snack. It is low in cholesterol, sodium and saturated fats and also good for your heart. It is a good source of magnesium, potassium and protein. Makhana can be added to curries and it goes well with warm milk too. But, I like it as a snack on those lazy evenings because it is super easy and super fast to make.
INGREDIENTS
Makhana – 200gms
Ghee – 2tsp
Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
Chat masala – 1/2 tsp
Salt – as required
PROCESS
Heat the ghee on a pan and fry the makhana for 10 mins until crisp. Then add salt and pepper powder. Turn off the flame and sprinkle chat masala on it. Crispy makhana fry is ready!! Enjoy, and don’t forget a hot cup of coffee.
