Guwahati News Desk: Jacinda Ardern has won the second term as New Zealand prime minister on Saturday.
Ardern’s liberal Labour party has won 49% of the vote while conservative National Party gained only 27%.
Her popularity mounted after her government tactfully eradicated the global coronavirus in country.
In her victory speech, Ardern, 40, she said, “This has not been an ordinary election,and it’s not an ordinary time. It’s been full of uncertainty and anxiety,and we set out to be an antidote to that.”
