Guwahati News Desk: Assam reported first case of Omicron variant of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
According to the sources, a 13-year-old Rohan Das has been infected with the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
The victim was a residing in rent at Sonapur and son of Munna Das and Purnima Das.
The family who lives in the capital city Mumbai in Maharashtra as recently they visited Meghalaya on December 21 and after tested positive for Omicron variant.
Soon after the detection of the virus the state health officials immediately rushed at Moirakusi in Sonapur with Sonapur Police but the patient in absconding.
