Guwahati News Desk: One person was killed by wild elephant at Jagun in the Tinsukia district on Tuesday.
According to the sources, the incident took place near Kathachema Ghat in Burhidihing river as the elephant came out from the protected forest area and killed the man near his home.
The deceased was identified as Louis Orang, a resident of Jagun of Magherita.
During the monsoon season, many wild elephants including other animals were seen coming out from the forest area to save their lives and search for foods.
Earlier, on Monday a woman and child was killed by an elephant at labourers line at the Numaligarh Bagidhala Tea garden in early morning.
