Guwahati News Desk: As the government of Assam has scheduled curfew timing from 5 pm for Kamrup Metro, major COVID-19 norms were seen broken across the Guwahati City.
In Guwahati, all the commercials establishments, offices, market places were shut down at 4 pm leading to massive traffic issues in the city which is directly affecting the protocol and a major point of rising COVID-19 cases in the city.
After the office timing is over at 4 pm during the curfew days many people who use to commute daily in mini city bus services face crisis in the bus stops.
Mini city buses were seen loaded with passengers while some are seen hanging on the doors to make some space in the bus especially during the rush hours after 4 pm which might turn out to be a major factor of the rising COVID-19 positive cases.
During that time, a huge gathering is seen in several bus stands like AT Road flyover, Bharalu, Shantipur, Chandmari, Ganeshguri etc. waiting for city buses. There is sudden downfall in the number of buses that commute per person. Therefore, leaving those passengers with no option but to hang and overcrowd buses and travel to their destination.
On July 10, Kamrup Metro reported 228 cases and on July 9 with 247 cases which are said to be the highest on that particular day among all districts.
