Guwahati News Desk: In a surprise reshuffle, the Pakistan Army surprisingly transferred the powerful spy agency, ISI’s Chief Lieutenant General, Faiz Hameed, and appointed him as the Peshawar Corps Commander.
This surprising move was made by the Pakistan Army on Wednesday.
However, Hameed’s replacement for the key post of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief was not announced immediately.
Regarding Hameed, he was appointed as the head of the spy agency on June 16, 2019, in a military shake-up.
As per the sources, Hameed had also previously served in the ISI as the head of internal security.
In addition, the sources state that Hameed is considered to be very close to the Army chief General Qamar Bajwa and was appointed as the ISI head at a crucial time due to several external and internal security challenges.
