Guwahati News Desk: The murder case of Kali Mandir priest Narayan Chakraborty has made progress as Assam Police have arrested his wife Mousumi Chakraborty and his eldest daughter, who is a minor, in relation to his murder.
Apparently, after a lot of questioning, the eldest daughter gave in and revealed that they had murdered Narayan Chakraborty by hitting him twice with a steel rod. However, the police have not yet stopped their search operations as there is suspicion of more people being involved.
Furthermore, it is also being said that the daughter claimed that her father was abusive towards her and her mother due to which, the police feels, the murder was committed. Further investigation is underway.
One Narayan Chakraborty who was the priest of a Kali Mandir for many years, was found murdered in a railway quarter, DS Block 05. One Satya Narayan Basfor has been detained along with Narayan Chakraborty’s wife who has been taken for interrogation. The quarter in which the dead body was found belongs to one Sanjiv Choudhury. The deceasedâs body was found at a resident of a person named Sanjiv Choudhury. Reportedly, Chakrabarty was asked to look after the house in absence of Sanjiv.
