Guwahati News Desk: The Greater Guwahati unit of the North East India Petroleum Dealers Association (NEIPDA) has lifted the 48-shut down of petrol pumps from October 22 to 24.
According to the sources, the Kamrup Metro District Administration had a meeting with the NEIPDA and has initiated to hold up further discussion of the 10-point charter demands raised by the association related to the petroleum.
Earlier the NEIPDA has called for 48-hours petrol pumps closure in Guwahati City from 6 am of October 22 to 6 am of October 24.
The association demands are Placement of TTs under EOI, Frequent Refusal of Contractors to load TTs at their whims, Entry of dealer/RO staff to escort the TT from the TOP TT parking area, Illegal deduction from SAP accounts, Forceful selling of Lubricants by HPCL, Unauthorized and faulty Automation, Blending of Ethanol, Inequal Credit Facility, Personal Information upload in enlarger and Legal position of the OMCs vis-a-vis the dealer.
