Guwahati News Desk: One forest ranger killed in a rhino attack inside Manas National Park on Friday.

The 34-year-old ranger was identified as Animesh Deka who was a resident of Dekapara in the Baksa district.

Deka sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital immediately but was declared dead on arrival.

The incident took place at the Bhuyanpara range of the national park.

The park was opened for tourism last October, after months of the covid scare.
