Renowned musician Kula Barua passes away at 83

Guwahati News Desk: Renowned musician of Assam, Kula Barua passes away at the age of 83 on Thursday.

Barua passed away at his residence in Silpukhuri after suffering from high blood pressure.

Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal expresses grief over the loss of the noted musician of Assam, as Barua was a recognized artist of All India Radio.
Barua started his music career in Semoniar Sona programme and has worked in several Assamese films like Xadori, Bixexerati, Bristi, Sri Moti Mohimamoyi, Xendurare and Probhatipokhirgan.
