Guwahati News Desk: After increasing the cycle riding trend in Guwahati, many cycles have been reported to be stolen in the Guwahati. However, Dispur Police has operated a drive against a robbery gang over the last two days and successfully arrested 4 robbers. The accused have been identified as Prahlad Das, Simanta Kalita, Pulak Saharia and Puluk Medhi as well as receiver Biraj Rituraj Sharma.
During the search operation, police officials recovered 4 bicycles, 4 mobiles including 2 laptops. An FIR has been lodged against the accused at Dispur Police Station.
On the other hand, Guwahati Police has successfully arrested four drug traffickers from Gandhi Basti and Kharghuli during an operation.
The accused has been identified as Ronak Mazumdar, Selim Ahmed, Idrish Ali and Sushil Boro. In the operation, police officials seized 5 gram of heroin, 230 vials and 42 mobile phones.
Guwahati Police has already started its investigation to find out the linkages.
