Guwahati News Desk: Two alternate roads Guwahati City people can take while moving from Jalukbari towards Bharalu without getting into the ongoing traffic from Maligaon to Kamakhya Gate due to the construction of the city’s longest flyover.
During office time, Guwahati City witnesses heavy traffic starting from Maligaon Chariali as the two-lane roads join in a single lane for the flyover construction.
One alternate road to avoid this heavy traffic of Maligaon, one should take the Padumbari route after crossing the train bridge of Jalukbari. The route directly connects Don Bosco Technical School and NF Railway Colony. From NF Railway Colony the road directly connects to Maligaon Gate No 3 via the Headquarters of Northeast Frontier Railways. This road will reduce the maximum traffic of Maligaon.
The other alternate road to avoid Maligaon traffic once reaching Boripara from Jalukbari takes a right turn below the newly inaugurated footbridge and takes the road connected towards Maligaon’s old flyover. The road directly connects to Kamakhya Railway Station and one can reach the Maligaon rail gate. After moving straight from the Maligaon rail gate, the road connects to Maligaon Gate No 3 via NFR headquarters. The road is mostly suggested for two-wheelers and three-wheelers only.
These two alternate roads help you to avoid the Maligaon flyover construction traffic. The same you one can take while travelling from Bharalu towards Jalukbari to avoid traffic.
