Guwahati News Desk: The ropeway service from Guwahati City to North Guwahati has resumes from Thursday after two and half months.
Due to the worst COVID scenario in Guwahati, the administration has stopped the ropeway services for the safety of the passengers and to stop the rising cases of COVID-19 in the city.
According to the notification issued by the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) the ropeway services to operate from 8 am till 5.30 pm.
During the ropeway service passengers need to follow all the provided COVID-19 protocols during the travel. The ropeway service to run with 50 per cent passengers for COVID-19 protocol. The fare was increased to Rs 150 both ways from Rs 100.
The one-way fare was increased to Rs 100 from Rs 60 and the fare of children and senior citizens to remain the same as earlier and the price for specially-abled passengers is completely free.
The weekly fare for ropeway service has been fixed at Rs 2000 and for the month it’s Rs 6000.
