Guwahati News Desk: The Royal Global University of Guwahati has handed over its arts building to the government of Assam to convert into Covid Care Centre.
The Covid Care Centre will consist of 1000 bed for treating Covid patients as it’s a helping hand provided to the government of Assam during the pandemic.
Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal visited the university on Friday to take a stock of available facilities for the Covid patients.
Earlier, State Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the Royal Global University on April 26 to take a stock of arrangements made in the Covid care centre newly opened at the university premises.
