Guwahati News Desk: Amidst the issue of the worsening air quality in Delhi, the Supreme Court suggested imposing a two-day lockdown in the city.
The suggestion was made while hearing a plea concerning air pollution in Delhi on Saturday.
In addition, the plea was filed in the Supreme Court by a 17-year-old Delhi student named Aditya Dubey concerning rising levels of air pollution in the city.
Moreover, a special bench of CJI NV Ramana, Justice DY Chandrachud, and Justice Suryakant heard the petition on Saturday.
Furthermore, adjourning the case to Monday, the court has asked all concerned states and the Centre to apprise it of the decisions taken during the emergency meeting on steps to reduce pollution in Delhi.
