Guwahati News Desk: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from North Lakhimpur committed suicide on Tuesday.
The leader Mithuranjan Das who hails from Laluk in Lakhimpur died for extreme financial crisis.
The leader was very close to former Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and other BJP leaders and Ministers of Assam.
The extreme decision was taken due to financial crisis has he left suicide note of three pages and mentioned about debt.
According to the sources, Mithuranjan Das along with other BJP leader supplied food and material at COVID Care Centre at Laluk College in Lakhimpur by taking money in interest.
In the letter an amount of Rs 17 lakh have been mentioned that we supposed to receive from the State government to his project work but for not clearing of amount which lead a huge financial crises and took the extreme step.
The leader committed suicide inside his room in the morning.
Soon after the incident Laluk Police immediately rushed at his residence and collected some of the information related to the case.
