Guwahati News Desk: In the latest update in the Rajkanya Baruah hit and run case, luxury hotel Vivanta by Taj in Khanapara has been issued a show cause notice.
The show cause notice was issued to unveil information about the event within 24 hours that was organised on October 1 evening.
The Kamrup Metropolitan administration has ordered the Vivanta officials to provide the details of the party timing and details including the organisers and the list of guest present in the party.
Kamrup Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu started that the hotel authorities responses are not satisfactory as an interrogation team will be sent to Vitanta hotel for further investigation on October 1 party.
According to the sources, the event of October 1 continued till late at night which violated the COVID-19 protocols and curfew timings.
Rajkanya Baruah injured nine PWD labourers with her speeding vehicle at Rukminigaon.
The Dispur police arrived at the incident spot at around 2 am, as later Baruah allegedly got into an argument with the police on duty as well.
Regarding, the injured labourers, they were immediately admitted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
