Guwahati News Desk: The Kamrup Metro district administration has formed a special task force on Thursday to control the COVID-19 protocol across the district including Guwahati.
The administration to imposed heavy fines on the people who will be found not wearing masks in the streets.
The administration has started its job towards strict monitoring on Thursday, says Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu.
DC Pegu also stated that the task force was formed under the supervision of the then Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) which will visit different areas and with the help of police they will take strict actions against the violators of the COVID-19.
DC also urges people not to go against the COVID-19 norms and administrations and visiting the market places without maintaining social distance, mass gatherings and loitering after curfew timing has been prohibited.
The DC also said that during the recent days in Kamrup Metro, COVID-19 positive cases were slightly seen increasing that is why the administration has urged the people to follow complete protocol.
Kamrup Metro reported new 181 COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday and three death.
