Bhaswati Das: Let’s cook Quick Chicken Korma in homemade way.
Ingredients:
1. Boneless chicken – 400grms (cut into pieces).
2. Yogurt – 1 1/2 cups.
3. Turmeric powder – 1/4 Tsp.
4. Ginger paste – 2 tsps.
5. Garlic paste – 2 tsps.
6. Green chilli paste – 1 1/2 tsps.
7. Salt to taste.
8. Refined flour – 1 1/2 tsps.
9. Garam masala powder – 1 1/2 tbsps.
10. Dried ginger powder – 1 1/2 tsps.
11. Oil – 3 tbsps.
12. Bay leaves – 3.
13. Black peppercorns – 5 — 6.
14. Cloves – 3 — 4.
15. Green cardamoms – 5 — 6.
16. Chopped Onions – 2 medium.
Method:
1. Whisk together the yogurt, turmeric powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chilli paste and a pinch of salt. Now add the flour, garam masala powder and dried ginger powder and whisk again.
2. Add one cup of water and mix well.
3. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan. Add the bay leaves, black peppercorns, cloves and cardamoms and saute till fragrant. Add the onions and saute till light brown.
4. Add the chicken pieces and saute on high heat for 3 — 4 mins.
5. Add the yogurt mixture and mix. Cover and cook for 5 — 7 mins.
6. Serve hot with naan, lachcha paratha and even with steamed basmati rice.
Quick Chicken Korma is ready.
