Guwahati News Desk: The State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury have announces that the government of Assam has formed a special Task Force to control the price hike of essentials.
The force formed for 10 days where essentials include potatoes and onions.
The administration has fixed the price of vegetables in the Pamohi market in Guwahati from today’s wholesaler’s rate of onion will be Rs 50 per kg which will be sold around Rs 56 to 57 per kg in retails. The Task Forces will keep a strict eye on the vendors regarding the price hike.
Minister Choudhury said that onion to sold at Rs 35 per kg in 9,000 cooperative shops in Assam as around 6,000 metric tonnes of onions have reached in the State from outside.
