Guwahati News Desk: To enhance tea production research in Assam, the Tocklai Tea Research Institute of Jorhat district collaborates with the Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved Limited to conduct advance research.
According to the sources, the Tocklai Tea Institute and Patanjali will conducted advance research on the extortion of chemical compounds from tea leaves and seeds.
The Memorandum of Understanding was taken during a meeting between Assam Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary and Patanjali Ayurved MD Balkrishna on Saturday.
According to the sources, the Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary said Assam has large numbers medicine plants which will benefit a most after collaborating with Patanjali as the advance research will be carried out to extract several chemical compounds from tea leaves and seeds which is used in manufacturing medicines, cosmetics and wellness products.
Patanjali Ayurveda will work together with the Industries and Commerce Department to promote medicinal plantations in Assam said MD Balkrishna.
