Guwahati News Desk: Three people were arrested by Jorhat Police over trying attempt to rob Indian Overseas Bank of Gar Ali branch situated at Agrasen Complex in Jorhat on December 6.
The accused with a mask entered the bank premises breaking the plyboard attached at the 1st-floor window. They broke the locks of bank and tried to open the cash door of the bank but was not successful.
After the unsuccessful operation in the bank, they moved out from the bank they went down the floor of the complex and broke shutter of five commercial motor parts stores.
They successfully looted Rs 15 thousand cash from two shops.
As per sources all the activities of the thief’s we’re captured in the CCTV footages.
Jorhat Police team lead by Bivash Das, APS, TSI Dipankar Gogoi, SI Bidyut Dutta, SI Himanchu Gohain immediately arrested the three accused withing 24 hours of reporting.
The accused were identified as Ainuddin Hussain, Usman Ali of RoSaidurd Jorhat and Sanidur Rahman of Bhogdoi.
During the arrested police officials also seized four mobile phones including smartphones and cash of Rs 5400.
