Malaya Neog, Tinsukia: Chicken with Rice Flour is an easy-to-make non-vegetarian traditional Assamese recipe, which is cooked by the various indigenous tribes of Assam. This dish is very beneficial for cold and fever. It is generally served with steamed rice.)
Ingredients:
*1/2 kg Chicken
*1/2 cup Rice Flour
*1 large chopped Onion
*1 large chopped Potato
*1 tsp Ginger paste
*1 tsp Garlic paste
*1/4 tsp turmeric powder
*1 tbsp Cumin powder
*1 tbsp Coriander powder
*2 green chillies
*M.Oil for cooking
*Salt as required
Method:
Heat the oil in a pan & fry the chopped onions & green chillies till the onions turn brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste & fry again. Now add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder & fry for some time. Then add Chicken, Potato & salt. Keep stirring occasionally. Add water & cover with a lid. Once the chicken & potato are cooked, add the rice flour slurry to it. Let it simmer for 7-8 mins & turn off the flame.
