Guwahati News Desk: The Assam Police has informed on Tuesday that COVID-19 restrictions like inter-district travel, curfew timings, pillion riding and odd-even rules will not be eligible for the candidates appearing for all offline competitive and entrance examinations on the production of an admit card.
The notification is also applicable for the candidates appearing for Armed Force’s examinations amid the near lockdown COVID-19 restrictions.
In Assam currently, the curfew timings are differed as per districts as the government of Assam has banned the inter districts movement for the spread of COVID-19 cases.
Assam Police tweeted, “This is to once again answer queries regarding students appearing for All India Competitive/Entrance Exams: Candidates along with a companion are exempted from inter-district movement, curfew timings, pillion riding & odd-even rules on production of Physical or E Admit Card,” Assam Police tweeted.
“Applicants appearing for Armed Forces Exams are also exempted from inter-district travel restrictions on the production of a valid Call Letter/Admit Card,” the tweet added.
Assam State Disaster Management Authority has issued a notification for the various department, organisations, agencies for conducting recruitment and entrance examinations across the State on offline more for the greater interest of the candidate.
1. Recruitment and entrance examinations for higher education are permitted across the State with strict adherence to maintenance of COVID-19 protocols including observance of COVID appropriate behaviour by all concerned.
2. The examinations should be conducted with 50 per cent of seating capacity of the examination hall or 50 candidates whichever is lower. Also, not more than 200 candidates should be allowed to take examination at any center in a shift.
3. Such candidates appearing in the said examinations will be exempted from the restrictions on inter-districts movement, movement during curfew hours, odd-even formula of vehicular movement in urban areas or production of valid admit card.
