Guwahati News Desk: The Union Minister of State for Railways, Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve is on a Northeast visit. The minister ceremoniously today, inaugurated the Kamakhya Running room here in Maligaon.
Running rooms are the places where the Running crew like Loco pilot, assistant loco pilot, goods guard, TTE, take rest (at stations other than their home station) after completion of duty or sign-off and before picking up the next duty or sign-on. The facility is expected to help improve the overall infrastructure at the Kamakhya Railway Station whilst having an effect on the quality of service.
The Minister also visited the infamous Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati today and took to twitter to share his thoughts.

Previously, he also took note of the upcoming project in Nagaland. The new project would connect Dimapur to Kohima and is based on the principles of PM Modi’s Vocal for Local and Atmanirbar Bharat campaigns.
