Guwahati News Desk: One Rajesh Kumar from Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh was arrested by Panbazar Police for illegally supplying arms licenses to a Guwahati residents.
According to the sources, the accused works as security guard in Guwahati and pursuing people for providing arms licence which was issued from Sirnagar of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Panbazar Police successfully caught the arm supplier mafia who already supplied three arms licences to diffenct people in Guwahati. As per sources, Kumar took over Rs 2 lakhs for arm license to a complainant.
Soon after his arrest, Guwahati Police immediately sized Kumar’s own licence (No. 636/ASP/J/2009) including three other arm licences and sent to the Director General of Police, CID of Jammu & Kashmir for further verification.
The three residence of Guwahati who received licence from accused Kumar are Jakir Hussain of Chandmari (No. 28/82/ASP/J/2010), vMadhab Sharma of Ambikagiri Nagar (No. 2881/ASP/J/2010)
and Raju Boro (No. 1839/ASP/J/2021).
