Guwahati News Desk: A massive violation took place during an eviction drive at Dholpur no 3 areas at Sipajhar in Darrang district.
During the eviction drive, the protestors tried to attack police personnel with sharp weapons. Police personnel immediately resort to using tear gas and rubber bullets. Police also shoot live rounds in the air to control the harsh situation against the protestors.
Protestors also used stones over the police personnel as at least two protestors were killed in the massive incident as eight were reported to be injured. Two police personnel were reported to be injured.
According to the sources, the injured number might increase as the injured people including the police personnel were taken to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
