Traffic congestions have always been a perpetual problem for the city commuters and these visits of political leaders help create more of it.
Talking of traffic jams, today commuters had to go through a hardship managing office time as mini-city buses, inter-district bus services were all shut down for a while due to the arrival of General Secretary of All India Congress Committee, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Huge congestion was seen starting from Jalukbari to Kamakhya Gate.
However, this is not a new case because election time has always been the favourite season for all VIPs to pay a visit to increase their vote banks. But their selfish motives should not harass the common people.
This VIPgiri culture should definitely come to an end as these habits barely allure voters.
