Guwahati News Desk: In Paltan Bazar’s railway colony, one Narayan Chakraborty who was the priest of Kali Mandir for many years was found murdered in a railway quarter, DS Block 05.
The murderer and the motive are yet unknown. The police have taken into custody two persons – one Satya Narayan Basfor has been detained along with Narayan Chakraborty’s wife who has been taken for interrogation.
The quarter in which the dead body was found belongs to one Sanjiv Choudhury. Preliminary investigation has revealed that there were two wounds on his head and his body was wrapped in a blanket.
He leaves behind two children. This is the fourth murder case in the state this month raising serious questions on the rate of criminal activities in the state.
The deceased priest, Narayan Chakrabarty is suspected to have been hit by a blunt object on his head, leading to his death. Meanwhile, officials of the Latasil police station arrived at the crime scene and launched an investigation. However, reason for the gruesome murder of the priest is yet to be ascertained.
