Guwahati News Desk: Around 100 million years old bone fragments of Sauropod dinosaurs were found by researchers at West Khasi Hill district in Meghalaya.
The Paleontology division of the Geological Survey of India was noted the first record of discovered Sauropod dinosaurs which was probable Titanosaurian origin discovered in the region.
According to the researchers, the sauropod dinosaurs which were found in Meghalaya used to have long necks, long tails with small heads with four thick legs. The researchers have said after imagination it is one of the beautiful creatures ever lived on earth.
According to the GSI, Meghalaya becomes the fifth state in India after Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu to report the Sauropod dinosaur’s bones.
As per reports, the Titanosaurs were a diverse group of Sauropod dinosaurs that used to live in Africa, Asia, South America, North America, Europe, Australia, and Antarctica.
