Guwahati News Desk: 12 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA’s suspended by Maharashtra Assembly Speaker on Monday for a year reportedly created ruckus inside the house.
According to the sources, the 12 MLA had manhandled Presiding Officer Bhaskar Jadhav during the ongoing Assembly session.
The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly passed a resolution urging the Central government to provide the census of 2011 data to enable the State Backward Class Commission for preparing empirical data of the OBC population in the State.
The resolution was passed to restore the political reservations for its local members by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.
The incident and chaos took place after the Presiding Officer Bhaskar Jadhav put the resolution for the vote as later few BJP members climbed up the Speaker’s podium and seen arguing with the Chair.
As the 12 BJP MLA’s were suspended for a year with immediate effect for creating ruckus inside the Assembly and misbehaving with the Presiding Officer.
The resolution was moved by the NCP leader and the State Minister Chhagan Bhujbal who passed the voice leads chaos by the BJP MLA’s in the house.
