Guwahati News Desk: At least 15 people were nabbed after suspecting Rohingya immigrants in Karimganj in Assam on Saturday.
Soon after the arrest, the police officials have taken them into custody at the Badarpur railway station by sleuths of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) after they arrived from New Jalpaiguri.
During the interrogation with the suspected immigrants, it was revealed that they have come from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh and were about to go to Tripura via the Badarpur-Agartala express.
Among the 15 immigrants, six were minors, three were women and six were men. Currently, they were under police custody and the interrogation process is still going on.
