Guwahati News Desk: Guwahati City reported reported 1,996 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday as the state’s positivity rate hike to 12.62 per cent.
On Tuesday, a total of 8,072 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Assam as active cases rises to 29,560.
Kamrup Metro has been listed as the top district in the State with nearly two thousand COVID-19 cases followed by Dibrugarh district with 551 cases, Cachar district with 474 cases and Jorhat district with 470 positive cases.
However, 16 people deceased were reported from Cachar, Golaghat, Kamrup Metro, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Nalbari, Sivasagar and Sonitpur.
On Tuesday, 2,444 patients have been recovered and discharged as the recovery rate decrease to 94.39 per cent.
