Guwahati News Desk: Two persons were arrested by Guwahati Police for selling ganja at Lokhra in Guwahati City on Monday.
According to the sources, two persons were detained after being caught selling ganja from a grocery store in Lokhra bazaar area.
City Cops started a raid against the two persons as nine packets of ganja was recovered from the store.
The accused were identified as 25-year-old Rumi Mahanta and Tapochi Biswas of Bhurgaon in Morigaon district.
Guwahati Police tweeted, “A WGPD team from Jalukbari PS apprehended one Rumi Mahanta (25), today evening, from her grocery shop in Lokhra Bazaar and recovered 9 packets of Ganja. The supplier – Tapochi Biswas of Village Mayeng 1, Bhurgaon in Morigaon was also arrested.”
