Guwahati News Desk: All educational institutions reopen on Tuesday after a gap of 20 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Assam.
According to the sources, all the educational institutions reopens with COVID-19 protocols as all the teachers, students and staff members are instructed to wear masks and use hand sanitiser inside the school campus.
According to the guidelines provided by the government of Assam, schools classes will be held 3 days a week for classes 1 to 5.
Students of standards 1, 2, 3 and 6 will have classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and while students of standard 4,5 and 7 will have to attend classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Class 8 students will have to attend physical classes on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
On the other hand, physical attendance in schools is not mandatory as students who preferred online classes can continue with it.
A maximum of 30 students was allowed to seat in a classroom as per guidelines provided by the government of Assam.
The primary level classes are yet to open as it was shut down due to COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the sources, during the first day of school after reopening after a long time a very limited number of students were seen to attend physical classes.
