Guwahati News Desk: India to open against a qualifier in the Women’s ODI World Cup on March 6, 2022, at Tauranga’s Bay Oval in New Zealand, informed the ICC on Tuesday.
Soon after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic the event was postponed from February-March 2021 to March 4 and April 3, 2022.
However, India will have two more matches on March 12 and March 22 against qualifiers at Seddon Park.
It will feature eight of the world’s best nations going head-to-head across Auckland, Tauranga, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
This is the first global women’s cricket event to be played since the T20 World Cup in Australia in March.
