Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal launches the second phase of the Asom Darshan Scheme at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra auditorium in Guwahati today.
It is an initiative taken under by the Transformation and Development department to perpetuate the glorious legacy of our sacred motherland.
In the glorious event, Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Minister Keshab Mahanta were also present.
Earlier the scheme was introduced in 2019-20 to preserve the culture, heritage, tradition and religious importance of the state.
Under the scheme, a total of 916 institutions were sanctioned of a budget of Rs 91.60 crore which was released for its development.
377 religious places were included in the second phase for infrastructural development.
