Guwahati News Desk: Government of Assam has suspended three officials of Panchayat and Rural Development Department (PNRD) including one Block Development Officer (BDO) over allegations of corruption on Friday.
BDO Saroj Das of Dullavcherra Development Block in Karimganj district was suspended with immediate effect for alleged financial irregularities in the implementation of schemes like the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MG-NREGA) and Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana (PMAY-G).
Meanwhile, two other officials viz, Khalilur Rahman, a village employment assistant of Banamaja Village Council Development Committee (VCDC) and other is Prahlad Das of Gram Panchayat Coordinator.
According to the sources, the officials of PNRD are found involved in acts of corruption and negligence of duty.
