Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma meets Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi.
During the meeting, CM Sarma appraised Amit Shah on Assam’s fight against drugs, women trafficking and cattle smuggling.
Sarma then met President of India Ramnath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhawan and quotes, “I am extremely proud to have received Honourable President’s blessing and guidance”.
CM Sarma invited President Kovind to visit Assam and see Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR).
The Assam CM also met Smriti Zubin Irani in the national capital and pays regard and solicit her guidance on various issues related to women and child development as well as handloom sectors.
CM Sarma had a fruitful discussion with the President and with Union Minister and discussed the current works that the government of Assam is implementing in the State to fight against crime.
