Guwahati News Desk: Cachar Police have arrested four youths of Mizoram for allegedly selling illicit country-made liquor at the Khulichara area in the Assam Mizoram border.
According to the sources, Cachar Police has conducted an operation against the illegal activities in the Khulichara village as four Mizo youths were nabbed and found selling allegedly liquor and got knocked.
According to the sources, the accused have been identified as Lalnunhlima, Laldawngliana, Lalfakawma, and Lalthakima as all the residents of the Phainum area of Mizoram.
Cachar Police seized 100 liters of country-made liquor. The results of the case become more controversial after the SP of Kolasib district of Mizoram Valnalfaka Ralte said that the arrested youths are innocent and were not involved in selling illegal liquor in Assam.
The officer claimed that the youths might get arrested for entering the Assam territory.
