Guwahati News Desk: The government of Assam has issued a notification to close down all the educational institutions across the State due to the increasing cases of COVID-19.
The notification will come into effect from pre-primary to post-graduate level which will come into effect from May 6.
Along with the educational institutions, all the hostels and coaching institutes remain closed during the pandemic as notified in an order released by the Secondary Education Department.
The administration has also notified that the online classes to continue as per institutions’ directions.
Earlier, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) also cancelled HSLC and HS examination in the State due to rising COVID-19 positive cases. The board also notified to announce new dates of examination in the coming days once the situation gets improved.
