Guwahati News Desk: A CRPF jawan was arrested for allegedly raping a 21-year-old girl at Bokajan in Assam on Wednesday.
An FIR was lodged by the victim on April 4 against the CRPF jawan, Iliad Banda.
The incident took place on April 1 after Banda took the girl for a long ride along with four other girls in his new car.
The jawan raped the girl while returning back to the village.
Soon after the incident, the victim told the incident to her family and later FIR has lodged against CRPF jawan under section 376 of the IPC.
According to the sources, he was on leave when the incident took place.
