Guwahati News Desk: At least 27 people have died in a fire incident that broke out in Osaka city of Japan on Friday.
The incident took place at a commercial eight-storey building in a shopping district. To be more specific the incident occurred at the fourth floor.
According to sources, the fire broke out shortly after the clinic opened at around 10 a.m. and it was largely extinguished within 30 minutes.
An official at the city’s fire department informed that 27 people were in “cardiopulmonary arrest” (a term used in Japan before a death is officially confirmed) and one person was injured.
Meanwhile, the police have been investigating the reports that a man started the fire in the multi-storey building.
Moreover, in several videos that circulated over social media, showed smoke pouring out of the windows of the fourth floor, where the clinic was located, as well as from the roof of the building.
