Guwahati News Desk: Around 1.33 lakh people were affected by disastrous flood including more than 39,000 thousand children in Assam.
According to the report, released by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) till now 11 districts of Assam have been affected due to floods as over 7,584 hectares of crop have been submerged under floods.
The worst affected district of Assam is Bongaigaon with 63,891 affected people, Dhemaji with 31,500 affected people, Majuli with 13,239 affected people, Dibrugarh with 10,697 affected people and Chirang with 10,634 affected people.
According to the sources, around 243 villages were affected in floods as 74 relief camps have been set up for the affected people.
The flood has damaged many roads, bridges, embankments, culverts etc in several flood affected districts. Due to continuous heavy rain the water level of Brahmaputra was seen increasing across the State which has led a massive flood in this monsoon.
