Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone of a Government Law College at Kaliapani in Jorhat district on Wednesday.
The government of Assam has sanctioned Rs 14.74 crore to set up the law college in Jorhat as the project to be completed in next 2 years.
Assam CM said, “Its very happy to share the 9 more Law colleges across the State as it one of the major boosting in the education sector.”
Assam CM also announced under NEP2020, around 3 thousand High Schools will be upgraded to Senior Secondary Schools by 2022.
The government of Assam will also increase the number of Universities in Assam in coming years.
During the ceremony, Cabinet Ministers Ranoj Pegu, Jogen Mohan, MPs Tapan Kumar Gogoi and Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, MLA Renupoma Rajkhowa and Ex-MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi we’re also present.
