Guwahati News Desk: Night super service will be started from Majuli via Lakhimpur Boginadi announced by the Chief Minister of Assam on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Dr Sarma visited Nimatighat on Wednesday to take a stock of the situation as CM ordered to run Ro-pax ferry for the convenience of the commuters after suspension of single boats to improve the situation from Nimatighat to Majuli.
Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “IWT has made services of 2 Ro-Pax vessels operational between Jorhat & Majuli after a thorough inspection. 2 vessels – MV Raj Lakshmi and MV Digaru – will reach Majuli soon, while another is being developed by IWT”.
The Ro-pax service will be available three times a day 9am in the morning, 11.30 am, and 3 pm.
